Fussen

Thursday was our day to transfer to Fussen. Germany, but it was also our 4th wedding anniversary.  We started the day by riding up out of Esslingen into a vinyard.

We packed up all our junk and loaded it into Trey's Toyota Tacoma, which he was super kind enough to lend us for the duration of our trip.

We headed out, GPS in hand, onto the German autobahn. Here we are getting passed by a Porsche. Go figure.
We arrived in Fussen and checked into the Haus Gabriel Bed and Breakfast. A small hotel built above a bakery (a selling point for me!) and within walking distance to the tourist walking district.

It was time for some good German food.  At Gasthof Krone, we had Kesspatzel (sp?) and a giant Heifewisen. Yum.  There was live polka music and "authentic" Bavarian decor bordering on kitchyness.  It was a great place to celebrate 4 fabulous years together as husband and wife!

A strol to check out the beatiful town and river...
And then back to our luxurious room (ha!) to relax on two twin beds pushed together.  Hey, it has been 4 years anyway, and Drew has to race the day after tomorrow anyway :-)

Tomorrow we're going to hunt down an adapter so we can ccharge the computer battery so we can keep blogging.
