Just checked into our room at Rincon Familiar in Old Town Quito, the capital city of Ecuador. We've been traveling for 21 hours, even though we were only in air for 11 of those.
Our first order of business was to get done excellent coffee.
First impression of the city is:
Steep terrain
Colonial
Beautiful
Colorful
Clean
Safe
Warm
It's about 80 degrees and partly sunny. It's Carnival here for the next couple of days so we might have some fun with that.
Right now we're tired and hungry.
