Scotland Day 1: Edinburgh

After an uneventful overnight flight, I reunited with Drew and we hit the ground running in those old city. 

Because tomorrow the country is shutting down for Queen Elizabeth's funeral, we had to rent mountain bikes in Edinburgh. Our cool boutique hotel was not amenable to bike storage, but we made it work. 

I was starving and a pidi at this Turkish cafe was just the ticket!

Unfortunately, we didn't make it to the castle in time for a tour, but still time for shopping!

We loved walking around old the buildings and exploring the city in foot.

And then we went to the craziest museum called Camera Obscura. It has all kinds of interactive exhibits that exploited visual perception. I've never seen anything like it.

And finally, we found a lively pub with excellent live music.
